Michael Jackson's body
was taken to an undisclosed mortuary late Friday.

The body was moved in a van about 9:30 p.m. PT (12:30 a.m. Saturday ET), but Jackson's family asked that the location not be made public, said Ed Winter, assistant chief coroner of the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office.

"We ask that you respect the family wishes," Winter told reporters. "They are all grieving in their different ways."

Earlier on Friday, Craig Harvey, a spokesman for the coroner's office, said Jackson's autopsy was completed, but more testing was needed to pinpoint the cause of death. Harvey said the tests would take four to six weeks.

Egypt - Italy 1/0

African champions Egypt showed no ill-effects from their dramatic opening defeat against Brazil to record a memorable 1-0 win over world champions Italy at Ellis Park - the decisive goal coming via Mohamed Homos's pinpoint header. The victory takes the Pharaohs level on points with the Azzurri and set up a dramatic finale to Group B.

After a steady start to the game, it was Italy who offered the greater threat early on. Giuseppe Rossi in particular was a lively presence in a wide forward role, clearly determined to build on his brace against the USA and show Marcello Lippi he was worthy of a starting berth.

Indeed it was Rossi who earned the game's first clear chance, latching on to a ball just inside the box after 11 minutes before sending a left-foot effort flashing over the bar. Meanwhile at the other end, the Italian defence had obviously done their homework on Egypt forward Mohamed Zidan, with Cannavaro and Co denying the Borussia Dortmund livewire the space he enjoyed when scoring twice against the Auriverde.

On 24 minutes, Rossi it was who called Essam El Hadary into his first meaningful action of the game, driving towards the edge of the box before firing a stinging effort goalwards which the custodian did well to tip over the bar. Back came Egypt through danger-man Mohamed Aboutrika, who made a storming run down the left-hand channel before playing a one-two with Zidan whose return ball narrowly failed to send the Al Ahly man through on goal.

And though the pre-match talk had surrounded the vulnerability of Hassan Shehata's men from set-pieces, it was via a corner kick that the Egyptians took the lead just six minutes before the interval. An excellent delivery from Aboutrika found Mohamed Homos, who had shaken his marker Daniele De Rossi before nodding a header just inside the far post.

Desperate to get back on terms, the Italians poured men forward in the second half but were left rueing a succession of wasted chances. Juventus forward Vincenzo Iaquinta was particularly profligate, failing to take advantage of two gilt-edged opportunities to drag the Nazionale level. After a poor first touch had let him down on 54 minutes, a quarter of an hour later he rolled his defender superbly to go one-on-one with the keeper but blasted his effort straight at El Hadary, who saved with his legs.

The Egyptian custodian was in fine form again on 73 minutes, when a cut-back from the left byline fell to Riccardo Montolivo on the penalty spot whose effort is firm but too close to the shotstopper who saved with his legs. And the keeper was again called upon to deny Iaquinta four minutes later, the forward latching onto Andrea Pirlo's superb centre before hitting a low and firm volley which El Hadary did excellently to stop at his near post.

But his good work was very nearly marred by a lapse in judgement on 86 minutes, when he was totally bamboozled by Iaquinta's cross-come-shot and could only watch as it bounced off his far post and away. That was as good as it got for the Italians, who now face Group B top dogs Brazil in their final game on 21 June. For the triumphant Pharaohs, meanwhile, a win against section bottom side the United States would give them every chance of a semi-final berth.

African pride is at stake for Egypt who take on world champions Italy in Group B of the FIFA Confederations Cup after nearly pulling off a shock result against Brazil.

The Egyptians were unfortunate not to take at least a point off the defending champions in their opening Group B match, with a controversial last-minute penalty by Real Madrid's Kaka crushing their hopes in a 4-3 defeat.

But Egypt's second-half performance, in particular, was encouraging enough to suggest they can cause big problems for Italy. Their Borussia Dortmund striker Mohamed Zidan, who scored twice against Brazil and was voted man-of-the-match, said it was important to demonstrate to the world that Africa has credible football teams.

"We wanted to have a decent game against Brazil and show the world African football is good enough to compete with the very best teams," said the striker. "I think we showed everyone that we have fighting spirit and in my opinion we deserved to earn a point. We hope to do better against Italy."

إصابة «الإنترنت» في مصر بالشلل التام ، بعد عطل مفاجئ في كابلين بالبحر المتوسط

أصيبت شبكة الإنترنت في مصر بالشلل التام، اعتباراً من السادسةصباح أمس، نتيجة أعطال مفاجئة بكابلي «flag» و«smw٤» البحريين في البحر المتوسط واللذين يربطان شرق آسيا بقارة أوروبا، مروراً بمصر.

وفي الوقت الذي رجحت فيه وزارة الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات أن تستمر الأعطال عدة أيام، استبعدت شركات الإنترنت المصرية تقديم تعويضات لعملائها عن هذه الأعطال، لأنها ليست المتسببة فيها، والأمر مسؤولية الشركات التي تدير الكابلين المعطوبين، موضحة أن العقود تنص علي أن العطل الناتج عن أسباب طبيعية وليس إهمالاً لا يلزم شركات الكابلات بدفع تعويضات.

وقال الدكتور طارق كامل، وزير الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات، لـ«المصري اليوم» إنه سوف يعقد اجتماعا طارئا مع قيادات الوزارة لوضع حلول عاجلة وبديلة، موضحا أن هناك إمكانية لتمرير البيانات عبر الكابلات التي تمر من مصر عبر منطقة شرق السويس لتفادي المرور عبر الكابلين المعطلين.

وأضاف: «هناك إمكانية أيضا لاستخدام الأقمار الصناعية مؤقتا لحين إعادة الأوضاع إلي طبيعتها، وسيتم الإعلان عن ذلك خلال ساعات لتوضيح الموقف وحصر الخسائر».

وقال الدكتور عمرو بدوي، الرئيس التنفيذي للجهاز القومي لتنظيم الاتصالات، إنه تم إجراء اتصالات مع مسؤولي الشركات التي تدير الكابلين، ومن المنتظر أن تصل سفينة الإصلاح إلي موقع العطل فجر اليوم لكن المهندس عماد الأزهري، العضو المنتدب لشركة «T.E.data» التابعة للشركة المصرية للاتصالات، حذر من أن مثل هذه الأعطال تأخذ وقتا طويلا لإصلاحها، قد يصل إلي أسبوعين في المتوسط.

مسؤولو البنوك: لا تأثيرات سلبية لأعطال الإنترنت

نفي مسؤولو البنوك والمؤسسات المالية، أي تأثيرات سلبية لأعطال الإنترنت المفاجئة، التي أصابت الشبكة أمس لنحو ٥ ساعات.

وتلقت الإدارات التنفيذية العليا ببعض البنوك رسائل بأعطال الشبكة صباح أمس من إدارات تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات لديها، لاتخاذ تدابير وقائية لعدم تعطيل الأعمال اليومية.

من جانبهم، أكد المسؤولون عدم تأثر الخدمات والأعمال المصرفية بالبنوك والبورصة والبنك المركزي بأعطال شبكة الإنترنت، مشيرين إلي عدم تعاملاتهم من خلالها في خدمات غرف المعاملات الدولية والمقاصة وتبادل المعلومات مع البنك المركزي وفروع هذه البنوك بالداخل والخارج.

وقال محمد عبدالعال، رئيس الخزانة لمنطقة شمال أفريقيا بالبنك العربي: لدينا خطوط ربط وشبكة موحدة مع الفروع الخارجية والداخلية وغرف المقاصة والمعاملات الدولية لا ترتبط بالإنترنت ومنها رويترز. أضاف أنه تلقي رسالة أمس علي شبكة البنك من إدارة المعلومات، بعطل في خطوط الإنترنت، ويحتاج إلي ٥ ساعات لإصلاحه، حسب الرسالة.

واتفق معه في الرأي محمد مصطفي، رئيس قطاع تكنولوجيا المعلومات بالمصرف المتحد، حيث أضاف أن شبكة «الإنترنت» لا نستخدمها في التعامل مع البنك المركزي أو الفروع وغرف المعاملات الدولية والمقاصة، مشيراً إلي استخدامها فقط في الأبحاث والبحث عن مشتريات لسلع معينة يرغب البنك في شرائها.

وأشار إلي عدم استخدام شبكة الإنترنت في خدمة العملاء، لأنها ليست «مؤمنة»، والاعتماد علي خطوط ربط دولية «رويترز - السويفت» للفروع الخارجية والمعاملات الدولية، وكذا مع البنك المركزي.

وقال عمرو بهاء، رئيس قطاع الخزانة وأسواق المال ببنك «بيريوس مصر»، إنه يتم اللجوء إلي خطوط الربط والتليفونات في حالة الطوارئ، للاستعلام عن الأسعار العالمية للفائدة والعملات في البنوك الخارجية.

من جانبه، أكد أحمد نعيم، عضو مجلس إدارة شركة «نعيم» القابضة، عدم اعتماد الشركات المالية الكبري والبورصة والمركزي والبنوك علي شبكة الإنترنت في معاملاتها، واستعمالها خطوط ربط مباشرة مع الخارج وفروعها بالداخل ، مستبعداً أي تأثيرات عليها.

Alexandria, Egypt which has impacted internet connectivity in India,"
Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd (VSNL), an internet service provider, said
in a statement.

VSNL said its service had been "largely restored" by diverting to
another cable. India said it had lost more than half of its
capacity. "There has been a 50 to 60 percent cut in bandwidth,"
Rajesh Chharia, president of the Internet Service Providers'
Association of India, told Reuters.

He told the Headlines Today news channel that a "degraded" service
would be activated by Wednesday night, but full restoration will take
10 to 15 days. Chharia said companies, including some of India's many
outsourcing businesses, had been affected.

ماهي تقنية MP3 ؟! !

MP3 أو (MPEG 1, Layer 3) عبارة عن ملف ذو تركيبة رقمية تم تصغير حجمها (بالضغط) بشكل كبير حتى يمكن تنزيل download ذلك الملف بوقت أقل من الإنترنت. وهذا الضغط لا يؤثر على جودة الصوت مادامت الجودة تحددها أذن الإنسان. هذه التركيبة تجعل مستعمليها قادرين على تخزينها في أجهزتهم دون أن تستهلك مساحة كبيرة من القرص الصلب وكذلك تحميلها عبر شبكة الإنترنت أو تنزيلها من الشبكة أو حتى إرسالها بالبريد الإلكتروني لأصحابهم.

كانت طريقة تسجيل الصوت للكمبيوتر هي باستخدام ملفات بتركيبة واف WAV. المشكلة في طريقة التسجيل بهذه التركيبة هي أن ملف الصوت الناتج يكون ضخم جدا. وعلى سبيل المثال إذا أردت باستعمال كمبيوترك أن تقوم بتسجيل مقطع صوتي ومدته أربعة دقائق فإن هذا المقطع سيستهلك ملفا حجمه أربعون ميجابايت. وبالتالي إذا أردت تسجيل أكثر من قرص سي دي فإن ذلك مستحيل تقريبا. الآن وبطريقة تصغير حجم الملف بعملية الضغط يمكنك تسجيل مئات الملفات الصوتيه بجودة عالية، وبدون أن تستهلك الكثير من المساحة على القرص الصلب.

يتم الحصول على هذا الضغط على أساس رياضي اعتمد فيه أسلوب الخوارزمية algorithm الرياضي في ملفات MPEG 1, Layer 3. كما يقوم هذا الأسلوب في جزء منه بالإستغناء عن بعض معلومات الملف، ولكن ذلك يتم اعتمادا على بعض نظريات علوم الصوتيات، حيث يتم إزالة جميع الأصوات المكررة فوق بعضها أو محمولة ولو جزئيا فوق أصوات أخرى overlapped بدون أن يكون لها فعالية وكذلك إزالة الأصوات ذات الترددات التي لا تقدر الأذن البشرية على سماعها أو التعرف عليها.

ومن ناحية عملية فإن كل دقيقة صوت بجودة صوت السي دي ذات و صوت ستيريو 16 بت تستهلك عادة 10 ميجابايت، بينما باستعمال رموز الجديدة فإن هذا الإستهلاك قد أصبح من الممكن تخفيضه بنسبة 1 إلى 12، مع الإحتفاظ بجودة الصوت التي يمكن للأذن البشرية استقبالها وتمييزها.

How it works

Firefox- Faster page loading

1. Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries:

network.http.pipelining
network.http.proxy.pipelining
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.

2. Alter the entries as follows: (by double clicking them)

Set "network.http.pipelinin" to "true"

Set "network.http.proxy.pipelinin" to "true"

Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequest" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once. (I changed mine to 100, works great.)

3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New->Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves
